PWP’s 2024 Season
We have something for everyone in our 45th season! Four theatrical productions, a special children’s theatrical workshop and production, summer visual art workshops, two concerts, and a film screening! We hope to see you at one of these events in 2024!
April 19, 2024
Step through the doors of a secretive jazz club in the heart of 1920’s New York City. As the night unfolds, you’ll find yourself in the midst of a thrilling plot of mystery, surrounded by the vibrant characters of the Jazz Age. From club staff and entertainers to notorious bootleggers and gangsters, every guest has a story, and any one of them could be the key to solving the crime.
No prior detective experience? No problem! Jazz Age Jeopardy is designed for everyone to dive into the mystery. Whether you’re piecing together clues over cocktails or questioning suspects on the dance floor, your insights could crack the case wide open.

Shakespeare’s forgotten rock and roll masterpiece! Inspired by the classic 50s sci-fi movie The Forbidden Planet and Shakespeare’s The Tempest, this high-energy jukebox musical is packed with rock ’n’ roll classics, including “Great Balls of Fire,” “Good Vibrations,” “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” “Young Girl,” and “Gloria.”

August 5-10, 2024
This year PWP shifts its children’s production to a week-long camp experience (Aug. 5-9) for actors from elementary through high school for three performances of “Grandpa’s Golden Stories” by Tessa Lang and Dan Olson. As Grandpa reads some of the classic tales, the young actors bring them to life on stage.

September 7, 2024
A duo of best friends since their first meeting at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 2005, they have FINALLY produced their first collection of together songs: DUETS volume I. Songs about love, life, and family.

September 20-22, 2024
Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does.

Night of the Living Dead
(1968 film version) A disparate group of individuals takes refuge in an abandoned house when corpses begin to leave the graveyard in search of fresh human bodies to devour. Come Oct. 26 (in costume!) to Roosevelt Hall for a screening of the classic horror film to get yourself ready for Halloween. A chance for adults to enjoy a Halloween night out.

November 1, 2024
A mystical, magical adventure by three intrepid lady travelers from 1888. As they travel through parts unknown, and the audience’s imagination, they discover that they are also moving through time to the year 1955. During their journey they also discover the courage in themselves to launch out into an unknown future.

You’ll find yourself immersed in the nostalgia of past decades as they breathe new life into timeless classics.

December 6-8, 2024
Set in rural Minnesota in the 1990s, this alternative holiday play celebrates simple miracles: recovery, redemption, reuniting with family, friendship, and writing a great county tune. “Hank & Jesus” (HAY-soos) is about redemption in the face of failure; the importance of family, even when relationships have eroded; and the value of hanging on to our dreams.
