Prairie Wind Players will present The Titanic: A Night To Remember , which dramatizes the events and tells the stories of some of the passengers who were aboard the HMS Titanic when the great ship sank to the bottom of the North Atlantic on April 14, 1912. The performance is a series of short scenes and monologues sandwiched between a seven course meal, catered by the Chef of Hans House in Elbow Lake. The meal will include selections from the actual menu served in the First Class dining room on the night the ship went down.
The cast features actors from around the area, including Dany Pederson, Scott Banta, Dan Rauchbauer, Cody Mehlhaf, Shelby Beech, Irene Pratt, Paulette Friday, Connie Bullock, Joan Koep, Max Duncan, Tyler Holl, Aileen Sperr, Kelley Haberer, Jerald Barber, Cami Pexsa, Jim Statz, Brady Amundson and Tim Ray. Musicians include Greg Lehrke on concertina, Terry Kennedy on guitar, Arlyn Swenson on banjo with Molly and Amanda Trumble on fiddle.
Kathy Ray is the Artistic Director and Curt Ostenson is the Technical Director. Lighting Design by Michael Burgraff, sound effects by Tim Ray and Janet Baker is helping with costuming the show. The production will also include a collection of historic photos of the Titanic.
The play will be presented Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 beginning at 6:30pm. Reservations are required.
